Overview: What we collect, how we use/share it, how long we keep it, and your choices. Designed to satisfy Apple App Privacy and major privacy regimes.

Data We Collect

  • Account Data: name, email, phone, Apple ID identifier (if you use Sign in with Apple).
  • Profile & Health Inputs: height, weight, goals, activity level, dietary preferences you provide.
  • Photos (In‑App Capture Only): images you take in the app for food recognition; we do not access your camera roll.
  • Device & Usage: app events, diagnostics, crash data.
  • Purchases: subscription status/history (Apple processes payment).
  • Support: messages/attachments you send us.
  • Cookies (Website): for basic site operation and improvements.

Sharing

  • Service providers (hosting, analytics, crash reporting) under confidentiality obligations.

Retention

We retain personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above and then delete or anonymize it.

Your Choices & Rights

  • Update certain profile data in‑app.
  • Request deletion at support@macroiqapp.com.
  • Disable camera permission to stop in‑app photo capture.

Children

Intended for users 13+ (or regional minimum). If we learn we collected data from a child without required consent, we’ll delete it.

Security

We use commercially reasonable safeguards (encryption in transit, access controls). No method is 100% secure.

International Transfers

We may process data in the U.S. and elsewhere. Using the Service means you consent to transfer and processing outside your country.

Region‑Specific Disclosures

CPRA (California): We do not “sell” or “share” personal information as defined by CPRA. You may request to know/delete/correct by emailing us.
GDPR (EEA/UK): Legal bases—contract (functionality), legitimate interests (analytics/security), consent (camera), legal obligations. Rights—access/rectify/erase/restrict/object/portability.

Apple App Privacy Summary

  • Tracking: Not used for tracking across apps/sites.
  • Linked to You: account data, health inputs, in‑app purchases, usage/diagnostics, support content.
  • Purposes: functionality, account management, analytics, developer communications, fraud prevention.

Changes

We may update this policy; we will revise the Effective Date. Continued use means acceptance.
